Self-Care Tips For Winter

"It's only cold if you're standing still"
So winter has finally arrived (kind of), if you live in Florida you know that one week is freezing and the next is hot. 

Here are some great tips for self-care during the winter:

Drink plenty of water
As winter nears, the air becomes drier and our bodies receive less moisture than they do during warmer months. So drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.

You do not want dry skin during winter. It's very irritating and not cool. If you're generally known for dry skin it's very important that for winter you keep your skin and lips moisturized. Don't wait till your skin has cracked and is very bad.Try carrying some lotion and lip balm with you at all times.

Burn a seasonal candle 
I love candles. I mostly like natural scented candles but for the holidays my favorite is Pine and Cinnamon. Nothing says holidays than a holiday scented candle.

Stay positive
 It can be a little frustrating during the holidays with climate change, Christmas shopping, and lots more but try to get into the groove of things and enjoy yourself. Always stay positive. 

Spend quality time with family
Family time is always the best time. There's honestly too much going on nowadays to not want to be close to your family. So spend all the time that you can with them. 

Embrace the season
Yes I know, it's cold outside, but it won't hurt to go for a walk and get some fresh air. Enjoy all the decorations and Christmas lights in the neighborhood. I mean, you gotta leave your house sometime right?
